Since December 2020 Lynne has spent hundreds of hours at the Board table working on the entire array of issues confronting the nation’s 14th largest school system - from managing the operational and educational impacts of Covid, to classroom innovation to help students meet math and literacy benchmarks, to the work to transform MCPS’ Compliance and Investigation work, to creating more straightforward procurement documents so everyone can see what the budget dollars are buying, to focusing intensely on the work to become a Net Zero school system, to working with students and staff to create new ways to help people be well so they can do well, to unwavering support for creating truly inclusive and affirming classrooms, to the ongoing creation of systems of accountability for all areas of MCPS operations and on and on.  She brings more extensive and directly relevant experience than any other candidate, cultivated as a PTA leader, education advocate, teacher lawyer, nurse and research-based decision maker.
